Research is a chief priority at the Department of Prosthodontics. Our research reflects innovations across the spectrum of diseases and oral health prevention not only establishing national and international prominence, but also promoting high-quality instruction.

Research (PG)

  • A comparative evaluation of surface roughness, color stability and microhardness in two commercially available provisional crown and bridge material.”- an in vitro study.
  • Knowledge and attitude towards prosthodontic rehabilitation among the population of Bengaluru: a cross sectional survey.
  • A spectrophotometric analysis of the effect of different beverages and food colourants on the colour stability of peek, composite and acrylic resin”- an in-vitro study
  • Evaluation and comparison of strain distribution at implant abutment junction of an implant supported mandibular complete denture framework fabricated with cobalt-chromium, zirconia and peek- a three dimensional finite element analysis.
  • Comparative evaluation of stress distribution at implant abutment junction, crestal and peri implant bone region of ti and ti-zr extra short implants on immediate and delayed loading: a 3d finite element analysis.
  • Comparison of two different materials (polyvinyl siloxane putty and visible light cure material) using single‑step border molding technique by evaluating the retention of heat polymerized trial denture bases.
